The Mission Program of the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael is an outreach program, which provides for the needs of the people of Colonia Esperanza,  an arid, depressed canyon area to the east of Tijuana, Mexico.

    Sister Gene McNally began her ministry in Tijuana in August of 1986.

 

  

 Sister Gene is assisted by a group of dedicated laywomen, who were formally received as members of the Dominican Family in 2003.                                       

 

 

 

 

     

Using materials provided by Mission Program donors, the people of the Colonia, with hearts and hands, built  OurLady  of Hope  Chapel, the clinic and the  basketball court.

These facilities  stand as living memorials to the goodness, generosity and talents of the people of the Colonia.
